We visited our son, Stephen and his wife, Michelle and their two girls, Elizabeth Rose and Anna Marie during the last week of August. Michelle had started her new teaching job so we took care of the girls during the week and we all visited Grant's Farm and Suson Petting Farm on the weekends.
St Louis, starting point for the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Gateway to the West for early settlers and home of Budweiser beer, the 2006 World Series Champions and Anna Marie Graham, our newest granddaughter. We were glad to touch down after having a tire blow out on the trailer in Flushing Ohio. Bill had to change it in the midday heat of 102 degrees and no trailer tires were available on the weekend so we had to limp on in at slow speed with no spare. Glad to be here.

Isn't she beautiful? Born on July 4th and 7 weeks old in this photo.
Grandma and Grandpa are going to have her and sister Elizabeth to themselves for a whole week.
Daytime temperatures continued to hover between 90 and 100 degrees while we were there so we did our walks to the park with the girls and Bailey, the family beagle, early in the morning.
St Louis has many fun and educational places for young families to do things together.  Besides the Parks and farm, we spent a fun day with Elizabeth at the Magic House, a large home-like setting for children's activities.
We worked at Mount Desert Narrows Camping Resort in Bar Harbor, Maine for five summers from 2002 to 2006 and made a lot of good friends with fellow workers like Howard and Karen and Trey too. They had finished their workamping in Colorado and were back home in Missouri so we were able to rendez-vous in Rockport. We hope to see many more of our fellow workampers when we get to Florida in February, 2008.
